Terms of Service

1. Who we are

AiDesk Helper (the “app”) and the website aideskhelper.com (the “website”) are made by ScoutCoders (“we”, “us”). You can reach us at scoutcoders@gmail.com.

2. Accepting these terms

By downloading, installing or using the app, or by using the website, you agree to these Terms of Service and to the app’s license. If you do not agree, do not use them. If you use the app on behalf of a company, you confirm that you may accept these terms for it.

3. The app is free

The app is free of charge and is licensed, not sold. The full license is the file LICENSE.txtincluded with the app (Settings ▸ About ▸ License). In summary:

• You may install and use the app on any number of devices, for personal and commercial purposes.
• You may give unmodified copies of the official app to others free of charge, with the license included.
• You may not sell or rent the app, charge for distributing it, modify it or distribute modified versions, or reverse engineer it, except where the law expressly allows it.
• The name “AiDesk Helper” and its logo belong to ScoutCoders and are not licensed for other uses.

If these terms and the license ever differ, the license applies to the app.

4. How the app works

The app is a chat interface for AI models that run on your own device throughOllama, a separate program made by a third party. Ollama and the AI models you install with it are not part of the app and have their own terms and licenses. You are responsible for following them, including any limits a model’s license places on how you use it.

5. Using the app responsibly

• Use the app and the website only in ways that are lawful where you are.
• Do not use them to create or spread content that is illegal, infringes other people’s rights, or is meant to harm, deceive or harass anyone.
• You are responsible for what you ask, for the content you create, and for the files and folders you let the app work with.

6. AI answers can be wrong

AI models can produce answers that are inaccurate, incomplete, out of date or offensive. Check important information before relying on it. The app’s answers are not professional advice (for example medical, legal, financial or safety advice). When you ask the app to change files in a project folder, review the changes and keep backups of anything important.

7. Your content stays yours

Your chats, images and files are yours. They are stored on your device and we have no access to them. See thePrivacy Policy.

8. Updates and availability

We may update, change or stop offering the app or the website at any time. We do not promise updates, support or that the app will work with every version of Ollama, every model or every device.

9. No warranty

The app and the website are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ScoutCoders is not liable for any indirect or direct damages arising from the use of, or the inability to use, the app or the website, including loss of data, files, profits or business. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for intent or gross negligence, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

11. Ending use

You can stop using the app at any time by deleting it. Your right to use the app ends automatically if you break these terms or the license.

12. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. The current version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated. Continuing to use the app or the website after a change means you accept the new terms.
